Experiment and Experience: A BYU Devotional

On March 3, 2015, Jennifer B. Nielson gave a devotional talk about "Experiment and Experience" and she focuses a lot on her experience through work as a chem. professor. She seems like the prefect professor to talk about this topic because through science she uses bother experiment and experience. She speaks of how valuable experiencing something can do to someone. When someone actually gets to go through something, they learn so much more then if they were to sit there and be told something or something like that. I can use this topic to decide on my career choice. I know that if I just sit here and do nothing about my career exploration or if I just sit here and research, that won't really help me know if I may actually like that topic or not. I need to go out and talk to an advisor or attend a lecture or enroll in a class or do something that will involve myself experiencing something. I could share this with anyone else and I know that it will have the same affect on them. Everyone learns through experience and experiment. You could always fail, but at least you're learning.
