From the presentation of on-campus internships, they are something that I would most definitely consider in the future. They seem to be so much easier and cheaper then having to go all the way to another state or school and spending all that money on the way. With OCI's you get a room with food and you get to choose what you want to study. I think it would be a lot easier doing this then having to raise money to go all the way to Israel or somewhere far away and sometimes out of the country.
I think the Internships are a great way help students out and allow them an experience they might not usually get. Some kids can't afford to go out of the country and come back a couple months later, even if you do get some great experiences out of it. With the OCI's they get a chance to gain that experience and do it somewhere they feel comfortable at and somewhere their parents will probably feel comfortable with.

Allied Health Presentation
Be weird. That has got to be some of the most interesting yet best advice I have gotten from a professional in some type of work force. I feel like a am a little weird myself at times and I don't know if I would be able to change that for my future job. I don't know if I would be able to stand being boring all the time and not enjoying what I did for the rest of my working career. I loved that she said our career choices don't have to be perfect and that she reminded me that there's always a chance to change it. It reminded me that I don't need to be so worried when I make my choice. I can choose something and always change it. So all in all she has helped me understand that my career choice should be something that I will enjoy and have fun in while being able to get things done.

Occupational Research
Customer Service Representative
People in this occupation talk with customers on the phone and provide information about products or services. They take orders, cance them, or take complaints from people. They have to check to make sure that the customers problems are resolved and that the customer is taken care of, as well as contact the customer themselves. They have to do a lot of things that help the customer out, whether it's a good thing to help with or a not so good thing.
Customer service representatives are indoors on the computer all day and they usually work alone, seeing as they get that one on one connection with the customer. The medium wage for this job is $14.84, which is not all that great compared to other higher paying jobs, but this occupation is pretty flexible. There are a little over 2 million employees in this occupation and the potential risks in this occupation are you may get a very unhappy customers and you may not be able to help/ handle taking care of them.
The required skills are active listening, speaking, service orientations, reading comprehension, critical thinking, persuasion, active learnign, monitoring, social preceptiveness, and time management. The abilities needed are oral comprehension, oral expression, speech clarity, speech recognition, near vision, problem sensitivity, written expression, written comprehension, deductive reasoning, and inductive reasoning.
People in this occupation typically have an interest in enterprising, social, and conventional, the ESC Code.
For this job, most people have at least a high school diploma or something equivalent. Not too many people with bachelors or at least some college and no degree are in this occupation. They need a knowledge of customer and personal service, english language, clerical, and computers and electronics.
Any college has these preparations available because they are pretty much social skills and at least high school education, which is something you don't even need from college.
This is the type of an occupation that you don't need much of an education, you don't need a lisence, you don't need any experience (for most jobs), and it can be found pretty much anywhere there are people and a business. All business's need some kind of a customer service support systems.
In this occupation, you can advance a lot and it usually depends on how long you have been in that occupation. You can do a lot with this occupation. It is very easy to help with your lifestyle because you can choose the amount of time you could put into this job, depending on the company you could get time off from work, and you can do so many things.
This occupation is something that was on my list of occupations that I would be interested in. There are so many things that I would enjoy about this job and it would match my interest so much.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics is an organization that can help with obtaining more information and a couple of related occupations are License Clerks and Hotel, Motel, and Resort Desk Clerks.

Strong Interest Inventory
When I took the Holland test, I thought that I would be a SAR. But in the test I was told that I was a SEC. During the test I felt relaxed. I didn't have to think very hard when I was choosing my answer and I felt good. I have not taken this test before but I have seen the paper of options and what you can get as a result. I was surprised by my results though because I thought that the Artistic Code would be in there somewhere, but turns out it's my last code on my list out of the six.
The top two occupations that I liked were the Customer Service Representatives and the Administrative Assistant. These seem like two of the occupations that I might actually enjoy and something that I would like to look into in the future.
The occupation that I didn't like was a farmer/ rancher and it disappointed me because I thought that that would be the last thing on my list. That one completely surprised me and it was one of the things I was putting no to. But I did say that I liked to work outdoors with my hands and not behind a desk all day.
There were a couple of occupations that I didn't understand at all because I don't know what they are. They are a Radiological Technologist and and optician. Even though I don't understand what these occupations mean doesn't mean they aren't things I would consider.
The 12 jobs that were after these ten were a Buyer, Facilities Manager, Military Enlisted, Computer and IS Manager, Health Information Specialist, Bartender, Occupational Therapist, Emergency Medical Technician, Business/ Finance Supervisor, Credit Manager, Human Resources Specialist, and a Florist.
All in all this test was very helpful for me and I would love to actually use this to help me choose my future. I really like how this test helped me see what some options are that I would actually enjoy and not what my grades or schooling would show me I like.
